Because of the incredible support of donors like you, CAPA21 is contributing more than $500,000 in candidates and organizations working to #TakeItBack2020.

We have already expended most of our funds raised. In our last announcement, we shared highlights of key races with candidates we support. In this email, we share a complete list of CAPA21-supported organizations turning out AAPI and Democratic voters.

Thank you for your support!

$55,000 to Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee to support Democratic Senate campaigns – The only organization solely dedicated to electing a Democratic Senate, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is led by Chair Senator Catherine Cortez Masto – the first Latina elected to the United States Senate – and works to take back the Senate from the Republicans and give the next Democratic president a Democratic Senate to work with.

$40,000 to AAPIs for Biden/Biden Victory Fund – The Biden campaign, the DNC, and 47 state parties have entered a joint fundraising agreement to build on the DNC’s already existing infrastructure that will help defeat Donald Trump and win elections for Democrats across the country. The Biden Victory Fund’s goal is to ensure that we put Joe Biden in the best position possible to beat Donald Trump.

$39,000 to House Majority PAC – to support efforts to hold the newly won Democratic seats in 2018 and expand the majority in the House. The House Majority PAC combines innovative new approaches with time-tested strategies to do battle with Republican outside groups and make a difference.

$30,000 to Senate Majority PAC – to support Democratic Senate campaigns. The Senate Majority PAC ensures that our Democratic candidates are better equipped to face well-financed Republican opponents. The PAC runs transparent, low-overhead, independent campaigns to Democrats from Republican attacks, aggressively contest open Senate seats, and go after Republicans on their own turf.

$20,000 to Asian Americans Against Trump – to support targeting swing states where Asian American voters can make a difference, such as Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Texas, Arizona, and Georgia. In many of these states, the Asian American electorate is larger than Trump’s 2016 margin of victory.

$15,000 to  Georgia Advancing Progress PAC – to support efforts to mobilize AAPI voters in Georgia, by improving communications, especially in-language. In Georgia, more than 40 percent of limited English proficiency individuals speak an AAPI language. And because they speak dozens of languages, including Tagalog, Korean, Mandarin and Vietnamese — advocacy groups must find translators for several languages to assist them.

$10,000 to Fair Fight – to support voter protection work. Founded by Stacey Abrams, the Fair Fight PAC combats voter suppression in Georgia and nationally and brings awareness to the public on election reform, advocates for election reform at all levels, and engages in other voter education programs and communications.

$10,000 to  AAPI Democrats of North Carolina – to support Democratic candidates in North Carolina – The official AAPI caucus of the North Carolina Democratic Party, the AAPI Democrats of North Carolina advances the interests of AAPIs in the Tar Heel State.

$10,000 to APIAVote – to support Asian and Pacific Islander American Vote’s efforts to expand the AAPI electorate through voter registration, education and get out the vote activities. APIAVote has 38 versions of our 2020 mailer designed to help you make a voting plan. APIAVote’s mailer series focuses on 18 states and has been translated into multiple Asian languages. They also compiled helpful voter guides from several states.

$10,000 to APALA – to support Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance’s “Every Vote Counts” campaign connecting with AAPI community leaders to become participants in the political process. The campaign furthers APALA’s mission by supporting AAPI involvement in electoral and issue campaigns at the local, state, and national level.

$10,000 to AAPI Victory Fund – to support efforts engaging AAPI voters in Texas through digital ads and advertising in ethnic media, including  TV, radio, and print outlets, primarily in Dallas and Houston.  More AAPIs in Texas voted early than in all of the 2016 election.
$5,000  to APIAVote Arizona – to support API voter registration, education, GOTV. Asian and Pacific Islander American Vote works to expand the AAPI electorate in Arizona through voter registration, education and get out the vote activities. This donation is specific to 501(c)(4) activities in Arizona.

$5,000 to North Carolina Asian Americans Together (NCAAT) – NCAAT is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization committed to supporting equity and justice for all by fostering community among AAPIs (Asian American Pacific Islanders) and allies in North Carolina through civic engagement, leadership development, grassroots mobilization and political participation.

CAPA21 also donated $5,000 to Pineapple PAC, Senator Mazie Hirono’s Leadership PAC, and $5,000 to Blue Momentum PAC, Congressman Ted Lieu’s Leadership PAC.

Our thanks to the constant stream of new donors as well as the generosity of past donors. A number of donors asked not to be listed so this is a partial list. To all of you, much gratitude in standing with us to resist this despicable President! See our list of donors here.
