Like you, we’re still reeling from the devastating outcome of Tuesday’s elections. There’s much more to share in the coming days but we wanted to first express our appreciation again for your incredible support.

We are grateful to all our generous donors, but especially CAPA21 Chair Tamlyn Tomita and Daniel Blinkoff, Raymond L. Ocampo Jr. and Sandra O. Ocampo, Clement Kong, Craig Yamada MD and Monice Kwok MD, and Sam Kong Fang.

Many of you gave generously and repeatedly to defend our democracy. We appreciate ALL our donors no matter the amount and value every dollar donated. We’re grateful to the many people throughout the year who offered to fundraise for us, including Chizu’s Corner, Jeff Yang and Phil Yu, and Greg Pak.

We commend the staff and volunteers of all the groups we funded. These organizations produced hundreds of thousands of voter contacts, door knocks, calls, mail pieces, and digital touches and together have built a foundation for the future of AANHPI voter empowerment across the country.

It’s bamboo time.

We lost the election, but together with you, we built a powerful coalition to repudiate Trump’s authoritarian moves.

Let’s take some time to grieve … and then get back to work.

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank each and every one of you who have given us the time, monies, thoughts and opinions, and, most importantly, the TRUST in our efforts to support the organizations and candidates AA4D and CAPA21 believe will continue to work towards ensuring the full participation of our AANHPI communities and to preserve our democracy.

It has been a thoroughly passionate venture these past 9 months, harnessing the collective energies of AA4D and CAPA21, who have been diligent in going all in, and connecting with you as to what we can do together to defeat the Republican ticket and its threats of Project 2025, and against the Constitution. Our members of AA4D/CAPA21 have reached out to you, believing that YOU wanted to ‘Do something’, and together, WE did. Because of your support, we have reached out and strengthened our bonds with AANHPI communities across the nation, who do not always receive needed attention, and who have voices that are proud and loud.

We have been incredibly inspired by your donations and words of support; the growing circles of hope have sustained us. We remain joyful at this time, because you all have shown us your understanding, kindness, courage, patience, sacrifice and generosity, and compassion. We have never been dismayed, because of you, we know we are doing something. Remember that. We are acting for the greater good of us all, however big or small, together we are effecting good change for the future, against all the divisiveness and darkness, and that is a great victory we are all proud of.
